At the heart of The Mount Haven is a large, airy lounge for guests to relax in.

There are big leather sofas to slump onto and a choice of informal seating area where you can chill out, have a drink, read the papers or simply take in the spectacular view from our huge picture window.

At one end of the lounge is our iroko-panelled bar. During the day it serves teas and delicious Italian coffees, lunch, home-made cake and even our very own special Cornish cream teas. At night it’s a magnet for guests to enjoy a cold beer or aperitif before dinner in the restaurant.

Cornwall also benefits from an average of over 1,500 hours of sunshine a year, so not surprisingly our garden terrace is a big attraction. Like the rest of the hotel, it has a contemporary feel, with wood decking and uncluttered balustrades that give uninterrupted views of the bay. When the weather is fine, which is often, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy al fresco coffee, lunch or pre or post dinner drinks.

In fine weather you can choose to eat in our little subtropical garden with the Mount peeking mysteriously through the bushes, bathing you with its calming and magical energies.
