About us

The Mount Haven hotel in Marazion

The Mount Haven is on the outskirts of Marazion, a historic market town in west Cornwall. The hotel has 19 beautiful bedrooms, a treatment room, a peaceful garden, an excellent restaurant and a contemporary Terrace Bar with mesmerising views out to sea, with St Michael’s Mount as the focal point. A stay here offers the chance to step away from your busy life and truly relax, unwind and rejuvenate.

St Aubyn Estates became the owner of the hotel in July 2016, and after a prolonged period of closure for an extensive renovation we’re delighted to be welcoming our first guests to the reborn Mount Haven in June 2017. The hotel has been transformed inside and out, but the warm welcome and dedication of the team to meet our guests’ needs remain rooted in the hotel’s psyche.

St Aubyn Estates is the family business belonging to the 5th Lord St Levan and his wife, Mary, who live on St Michael’s Mount, which they run in partnership with the National Trust. The 5000-acre estate includes the Home Farm, tenanted farms, residential and holiday cottages, the Godolphin Arms and a building company – Cornish Heritage Builders.

The addition of the Mount Haven to the group is an integral part of the family’s commitment to Marazion and its attractive vibrancy as a great place to live, work and visit.

St Michael’s Mount

The iconic tidal island of St Michael’s Mount sits within the centre of Mount’s Bay. Accessible by foot via an ancient causeway at low tide, and by ferry boat as the tide floods back in, the island is home to the St Aubyn family and 30 islanders, as well as a breathtaking sub-tropical, coastal garden and a castle that crowns the summit.
