Get all your gifts wrapped up this Christmas at our favourite festive markets throughout West Cornwall
We think it’s officially acceptable to start talking a bit more about Christmas and we thought we would start with one of our favourite parts of the festive season – gift giving!
Cornwall is filled with artists, creators and producers – making it the perfect place to find the perfect gift for that special someone. Here are a few of our recommendations for fairs and markets to visit while in Cornwall.
13th – 14th November: Macmillan Christmas Fair at The Eden Project - Support Macmillan Cancer Support this Christmas by visiting the Eden Project's Christmas Fair, With the biomes turning green, this event kick starts the Cornish Christmas fair with a host of great gifts - with 15% of all takings donated to the charity.
15th – 17th November: Etsy Made Local Cornwall Christmas Fair in Penryn - With over 70 makers, designers and illustrators, you are sure to find plenty of unique and bespoke presents. The event will also have live music as well as a donation station for Penryn & Falmouth Foodbank - after all, Christmas is all about giving.
16th – 17th November: Porthleven Christmas Market - Located around the harbour head of Porthleven, there will be plenty of wonderful treats to be found. Enjoy the festive cheer and coastal location with live music, a Santas's grotto and local bar.
27th November – 1st December: Made in Cornwall Christmas Fair in Truro - The perfect opportunity to support local makers and find a Cornish gift for your loved ones - whether it's a tasty jar of homemade jam, sea breeze scented hand-poured candles or a tasty tipple.
29th November: Cornish Christmas Market at The Godolphin - Head down the road from the Mount Haven and visit our friends at The Godolphin for their second-ever Christmas market. After the success of last year, you can look forward to a great selection of foodie treats, handmade skincare, beautiful jewellery, unique Christmas decorations and more.
29th November: Krowji Christmas Open Studios in Redruth - From ceramicists and painters to photographers and jewellers, Krowji is a hub of creative activity - so where better to find a unique and inspired present.
29th November – 1st December: St Ives Christmas Market - Arts and crafts from 40 stallholders, choirs, singers and delicious food - what more could you want from your Christmas shopping experience?
30th November & 14th December: Penzance Christmas Market - There is plenty going on in Penzance over the two days, from the light switch on with carols and a youth market to a lantern parade to mark Sir Humphrey Davy's birthday and a festive market. Not to be missed!
30th November – 1st December: Christmas Craft Fayre at Flambards - This one is definitely one for all the family. As well as indoor activities and carol singers, there will be 80 stallholders showcasing arts, crafts and festive foodie treats!
5th – 8th December: Padstow Christmas Festival - Although a little further afield, this festival is well worth the trip. A foodie's heaven during the festive season, you'll have the chance to see a host of great chef demos, stock up on Christmas food and drink as well as presents.
